Serviced residence operator The Ascott Limited is expanding at its fastest pace in the lion city in its bid to provide quality hospitality services for Singapore’s corporate and leisure travelers.

The company now has over 2,000 units in 13 properties and believes that the government’s efforts to lure MNCs into the city state as well as a thriving startup ecosystem, will add more fuel to its growth trajectory.

“Last year, we added more than 1,300 units across five properties to our Singapore portfolio. Citadines Rochor Singapore, lyf Funan Singapore and lyf Farrer Park Singapore are slated to open in 2020, while the Citadines property in Raffles Place and Citadines Balestier Singapore are targeted to open in 2021,” said Mr Ervin Yeo, Regional General Manager for Singapore and Malaysia.

The company’s strength, Yeo added, lies in quality products in central locations giving maximum convenience to travelers who can enjoy close proximity to their offices. The company’s serviced residence are all strategically located within walking distance to the city’s public transport system, the Mass Rapid Transit (MTR).

The Ascott Limited also provides suitable accommodation for families, a market which normally spends a longer duration of time in Singapore, which is in line with the government’s tourism initiatives.

“The serviced residence industry remains resilient and flexible to respond to the needs of all our guests, regardless whether they are business or leisure travelers - we continue to innovate to offer distinctive experience from various brand offerings to meet the preference of increasingly diverse travellers.”

The operator is also making steady investments in technology to enhance the overall guest experience across its portfolio which includes the roll-out of a pocket butler service, backend workflow hospitality solution and AI-powered smart temperature control.

“Brand recognition and trust, offering differentiated appeal and the ability to continuously anticipate healthy demands for all types of travellers will set the serviced residence industry apart from its competition,” he added.
