How much do developers in Singapore earn?

Senior full-stack developers in SG earn 3.8x more than their peers in Indonesia.

Demand for talents tasked with maintaining and enhancing key products continues to be strong among companies in Singapore, keeping engineering function salaries high.

In Singapore, senior front-end developers earn 3.7x more than those in Indonesia and 2.5x more than those in Vietnam.

According to Glints and Monk’s Hill Ventures (MHV) report, the basic salary of senior front-end developers ranges from US7,4000-US$93,000.

Those in the junior and mid-level, meanwhile, have a base monthly salary ranging from US$3,400-US$4,600 and US$5,100-US$5,500, respectively.

Meanwhile, Glints and MHV said engineers in Singapore continue to earn the highest salaries compared to Indonesia and Vietnam.

"This reflects the presence of senior talent in the country and its higher cost of living compared to other markets," the report said.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
