SMU graduates post 89.8% employment with rising wages: survey

Their average gross monthly salary is $5,057.

Singapore Management University (SMU) graduates have an 89.8% overall employment rate and 83.4% full-time permanent employment rate, according to the Graduate Employment Survey (GES) 2024.

SMU graduates are also commanding higher wages, with the average gross monthly salary rising 3.4% year-on-year (YoY) to $5,057. The median gross salary of SMU graduates also increased from $4,500 to $4,600.

The survey also found that 79.9% of graduates completed more than one internship, with an average of 2.8 internships per student whilst 31.6% of graduates who found full-time permanent employment had secured roles at the companies they interned with.

More than 60% of SMU graduates also secured employment before graduation.

In addition, SMU graduates are in demand in Finance & Insurance, Legal, Accounting & Auditing, and Information & Communication sectors,

SMU surveyed 75.7% of its 2,300 graduating students.
