Transport Equipment posts lowest job vacancy rate at 1.2% in December 2025

The Air Transport and Printing sectors follow closely at 1.8%.

‘Transport Equipment’ recorded the lowest job vacancy rate amongst Singapore industries in December 2025 at 1.2%, according to a Briefcase PR report.

‘Paper/Rubber/Plastic Products & Printing’ and ‘Air Transport & Supporting Services’ both recorded rates of 1.8%, placing them jointly second lowest.

‘Petroleum, Chemical & Pharmaceutical Products’ and ‘Security & Investigation’ followed at 1.9%, whilst ‘Other Manufacturing Industries’ recorded 2%.

Several industries saw a 2.1% vacancy rate, including ‘Fabricated Metal Products’, ‘Machinery & Equipment’, ‘Electronic, Computer & Optical Products’, ‘Telecommunications, Broadcasting & Publishing’, and ‘Water Transport & Supporting Services’.

The average vacancy rate across the ranking was 1.9%.

Briefcase PR said the ranking reflects tighter hiring conditions in affected areas, particularly specialised industrial and transport-related sectors.

The firm ranked detailed industries using the latest available job vacancy data from the Ministry of Manpower and ranked detailed industries by their vacancy rate in December 2025.
