IMDA launches bootcamp to drive AI adoption and transform businesses

The scheme aims to help firms build practical use cases and leave with a scaling roadmap.

The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) has launched the Digital Leaders Accelerator Bootcamp (DLAB) to help local enterprises adopt AI, as part of the National AI Impact Programme.

Announced today by Minister Josephine Teo, the bootcamp builds on IMDA’s Digital Leaders Programme, running since 2021.

Targeting business leaders of digitally progressive companies, DLAB is a hands-on programme where participants implement practical AI projects and leave with an actionable roadmap for scaling adoption.

It combines technical guidance with organisational readiness, covering AI transformation, change management, and workflow redesign. IMDA aims to support 2,000 Digital Leaders under the Digital Leaders Programme over the next three years.

As a start, the programme will be run with Boston Consulting Group and EY-Parthenon, offering coaching on identifying high-impact opportunities, designing solutions, testing small-scale projects, and planning full-scale implementation. Early-value projects are designed to deliver results within three months.

The inaugural session begins on 26 March with EY-Parthenon, followed by Boston Consulting Group in the second quarter. IMDA plans to expand the programme with more industry partners to support enterprises across sectors.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
