IT and manufacturing sectors lead in digital transformation focus

Businesses focus on improving their operational processes and IT systems.

In Singapore, the IT and professional services and the manufacturing sectors lead in recognising the importance of digital transformation, the Singapore Business Federation reported.

In the IT and professional services sector, 99% think that digital transformation is important or moderately important whilst for manufacturing,97% believe so.

Retail, real estate, hotels, restaurants, and accommodations comes next with 95%, followed by wholesale trade (94%), and banking and insurance (92%).

When it comes to digital transformation, businesses are focusing on operational processes and Informational Technology (IT) systems.

In addition, SBF also revealed that businesses also prioritise business models and research & development.
