Singapore, US partner to enhance telecom regulatory policies

This will cover areas of communications and connectivity.

The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) of Singapore and the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) have partnered to strengthen telecommunications regulatory policies.

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) provided that the partnership will cover regulatory cooperation and information exchange in areas such as communications, and connectivity.

“Regulatory cooperation and alignment are key to building a framework of support for the growth of the digital economy and inclusive digital societies,” Lew Chuen Hong, Chief Executive of IMDA, said.

“This will enable us to push global norms forward and build a better digital future.”
