Singtel to develop end-to-end 5G Intelligent Edge Aggregator

This will help customers gain real-time insights and support their operations.

Singtel has partnered with SAP to develop an end-to-end intelligent edge aggregator (IEA) that will enable customers to get real-time insights that will guide their decision-making on time-sensitive business requisites.

In a statement, Singtel said the IEA will be developed on its Paragon platform backed by its 5G networks and multi-edge computing solutions.

This will allow enterprise customers to immediately access SAP software and integrate it into their back-end processes.

“Through this collaboration, we can address the increasingly complex needs of enterprises, such as applications for computer vision and workplace safety,” said Dennis Wong, vice president of Enterprise 5G and Platforms at Singtel.

“This is part of our ongoing strategy to help enterprises exploit the capabilities of 5G, through Paragon, to drive innovation and business growth,” he added.

The project is planned to be expanded to other markets such as Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and India.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
