Rain insurance offer marks a first for Singapore hotel

The coverage is exclusive to bookings starting from SG$850 per night.

InterContinental Singapore, a 5-star hotel located in Singapore's historic centre, has teamed up with insurtech discovermarket to introduce the Rain Resist Bliss Package, a first-of-its-kind rain protection offering.

Guests booking this package are eligible for a refund equivalent to their single-night room rate if it rains during their stay. If rainfall exceeds a cumulative 2-hour duration during daylight hours, triggering a recorded rain event, hotel guests will automatically receive a rebate voucher within seven working days.

The Rain Resist Bliss Package is exclusively available for suite room bookings starting from SG$850 per night.

Guests opting for this package can avail of additional benefits such as 24/7 butler service and access to the prestigious Club InterContinental Lounge.

Utilising discovermarket's integration with weather data, insurers, and brokers, the entire claims process is automated, offering guests a smooth and comprehensive protection experience.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
