Silversea offers grand cruise from Singapore to Montecarlo

If you want a luxurious 59-day vacation, better save the dates from March to May 2012.

According to a release, ultra luxurious Silversea is offering a fascinating 59 day Grand Voyage from Singapore to Monte Carlo aboard the chic 382-guest Silver Whisper in March to May 2012.

Taking in some of Asia’s greatest cities, picturesque ports in Vietnam and then sailing the spice route to India, Arabia and through the Red Sea to the Mediterranean, this cruise is designed for the true travel enthusiast, with multi-day stays in major cities allowing for further exploration.

Departing Singapore on 3 March 2012, Silver Whisper will sail to Ho Chi Minh City for an overnight stay, followed by a night in vibrant Hong Kong. Shanghai is the next call for two nights, followed by Haikou on China’s Hainan Island, and the Vietnamese ports of Haiphong (Hanoi), Ha Long Bay, Chan May (Hue/ Danang) and Nha Trang. From there, the vessel will visit Bangkok for two nights, the beautiful island of Koh Samui, and the Malaysian ports of Port Klang (Kuala Lumpur) and Penang.

After three days at sea, Silver Whisper will call at Cochin, Mormugao and Mumbai in India, before heading to the UAE, visiting Fujairah and Dubai overnight. Silver Whisper will then journey to the Omani ports of Khasab and Muscat; an overnight stay in Safaga, Egypt; Aqaba – gateway to Petra in Jordan; the Egyptian ports of Sharm El Sheikh and Alexandria, and Sorrento in Italy, before reaching her final destination of Monte Carlo on 1 May 2012.

All-inclusive cruise-only fares for the full 59 day voyage start from US$36,486* per person, double occupancy including an Onboard Spending Credit of US$2,500 per suite. Shorter sectors are available for those with less time available.

Aboard Silver Whisper, guests will enjoy all-suite ocean-view accommodation and the renowned Silversea lifestyle which includes butler service; gourmet dining with Relais & Châteaux-designed menus; complimentary fine wines, spirits and Champagnes, and all gratuities.

A fascinating enrichment programme is also on offer throughout the voyage, including lectures from acclaimed author Bill Bryson, who will be onboard between Singapore and Shanghai, sharing insights into his travel experiences.
