ST Engineering Ventures joins US$25m funding round for US tech platform

ST Engineering earlier tapped rideOS to power its autonomous bus pilot through software products.

ST Engineering joined the US$25m Series B funding led by global venture firm Next47 for US tech startup rideOS, an announcement revealed. Sequoia Capital also joined the investment round.

Said investment will be used to aid rideOS’ expansion to global transportation markets.

The Series B funding follows the partnership between rideOS and ST Engineering to develop the safe rollout of autonomous mobility systems in Singapore.

The said partnership announced in July enables rideOS to power ST Engineering’s autonomous bus pilot through software products a real-time autonomous vehicle routing, estimated time of arrival (ETA) calculations, dispatch services, supply positioning, multi-rider trip planning, and fleet management dashboards.

With the Series B investment, rideOS’ total funding hits US$34m.
