COTD: Singapore's equity funding posts weakest half-year since 2019
Only 129 deals were made during the period.
Equity funding for Singaporean firms dropped to its lowest half-year level in six years.
The funding in the first half of 2025 (H1 2025) amounted to just $1.55b (US$1.21b) across 129 deals, down from $1.9b (US$1.49b) across 148 deals in the second half of 2024.

The downturn marks a sharp contrast to H2 2021, when funding peaked at $7.55b (US$5.9b).
Since then, funding value has steadily declined through H1 2023, rebounded in H2 2023, and has since dropped again through the current half-year.
