Global ECM drops 4% in 2010

Global ECM fell  to US$873.4bln this year compared with US$907.5bln ni 2009.

According to Dealogic, 4Q 2010 volume of US$330.3bln increased 63% on 3Q 2010 and was the highest quarterly volume on record, improving on the previous record of US$329.1bln in 4Q 2009.

Global IPO volume reached US$275.4bln 2010, the second highest annual volume on record after 2007. 4Q 2010 was the highest quarterly volume on record and up 124% on 3Q 2010. 4Q 2010 was driven by October and November, the two highest months on record for global IPO volume with US$50.9bln and US$50.3bln, respectively.
