Lendlease REIT raises $280m from oversubscribed private placement

The proceeds will fund its 70% PLQ Mall stake acquisition.

Lendlease Global Commercial REIT has raised $280m from an upsized private placement, following strong investor demand that saw the offer nearly three times covered, as stated on a press release.

The issue was increased from an initial $270m, priced at $0.602 per unit, reflecting a 3.7% discount to the adjusted volume-weighted average price of $0.6253.

According to the REIT’s manager, the placement drew strong support from institutional and private investors, underscoring market confidence in the trust’s portfolio strategy and growth outlook. The new units are expected to be issued on 14 November 2025.

Proceeds from the offering will be used primarily to fund the acquisition of a 70% interest in PLQ Mall, announced earlier this week. The manager said the transaction aligns with its strategy to expand recurring income and enhance portfolio resilience.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
