Dalí’s Argillet Collection opens in Singapore
All works are available for sale.
Singapore’s efforts to strengthen its profile as a regional centre for international art gained momentum with the opening of Salvador Dalí: The Argillet Collection, hosted by Bruno Gallery Singapore with a satellite display at The Capella Singapore in Sentosa.
The privately held collection is regarded as one of the most authentic representations of Dalí’s work outside major institutional holdings. It features about 100 original etchings and gouaches that explore themes ranging from mythology and literature to dream imagery, highlighting the surrealist’s technical skill and distinctive vision.
At the pre-launch event on 25 September at The Capella, Christine Argillet, daughter of publisher Pierre Argillet and custodian of the collection, highlighted the personal bond between her father and Dalí that shaped many of the featured works.

“We present this collection in Singapore to honour not only Dalí’s artistic innovations, but also the legacy of collaboration and friendship between my father and Dalí,” she said. “Each etching reveals something truly personal about the artist, his humour, his spontaneity, and the ways in which he bridged tradition and imagination.”
Motti Abramovitz, owner and chief executive of Bruno Art Group, said the exhibition represents an important moment for Singapore’s art scene.
“Bringing this collection to Singapore is an incredible milestone for our local and regional art scene. With free entry, the presence of Christine Argillet herself, this exhibition promises to inspire collectors and art lovers alike. It’s not just an art event, it’s a celebration of innovation, history, and the transformative power of surrealism,” he said.

The exhibition presents finely detailed copperplate etchings and surreal reinterpretations of classical texts, reflecting Dalí’s ability to combine technical precision with imaginative expression. All works are available for sale.
