Yoma's profit surges by 1352.5% to $18.8m

Automotive & Heavy Equipment and Consumer businesses contribute 74% to its revenue.

The net profit of Yoma Strategic Holdings Ltd. for the third quarter ended last 31 December (3Q2018) surged to $18.8m, which is a 1352.5% increase year-on-year.

“The increase in net-profit was a result of gains from the disposal of the Group’s tourism related businesses as well as higher revenue from its Automotive & Heavy Equipment and Consumer businesses,” said Yoma Strategic in a media release.

The Automotive & Heavy Equipment and Consumer businesses together contributed 74% to the company’s $24.1m revenue.

“We are pleased with the high growth in our Heavy Equipment, Yoma Fleet Leasing and KFC businesses and expect them to contribute meaningfully to the Group in the coming years,” said Melvyn Pun, CEO of Yoma Strategic.

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
