Keppel wins 20-year contract to cool 10,000 Tengah BTO homes

With an earlier deal, total coverage reaches 14,000 homes across 12 projects.

The Housing & Development Board has awarded Keppel Ltd.’s Infrastructure Division a 20-year chilled water supply contract to design, install and operate centralised cooling systems (CCS) at nine upcoming Build-To-Order (BTO) projects in Tengah.

The contract will cover approximately 10,000 households across the Brickland, Park and Forest Hill districts, where residents can opt to use chilled water supplied by Keppel to cool their homes.

A total of around 14,000 households across 12 BTO projects in Tengah will have access to the group’s centralised cooling systems with the latest award.

In September 2024, the company secured a similar 20-year contract covering three projects—Brickland Weave, Plantation Edge I and II, and Plantation Verge.

Upon completion, the CCS at the 12 projects will be connected to Keppel’s Operations Nerve Centre for remote control and real-time performance monitoring.

The contract is not expected to have any material impact on the earnings per share and net tangible asset per share of Keppel Ltd. for the current financial year.
