Chart of the Day: See how many online shoppers are there in your generation

The proportion of online shoppers in Gen X jumped the highest to 66%.

This chart from JLL shows the proportion of online shoppers amongst Singaporean residents played around 52% to 53% within 2012 to 2015.

Online shoppers from the technology savvy generation within the 15-24 and 25-34 age groups constituted 66% and 80% of their demographics, respectively.

Meanwhile, the share of Generation X online shoppers, typically within the 35-49 age group, jumped from 59% in 2014 to 66% in 2015.

The share of online shoppers within the 50-59 and 60+ age group, or the baby boomers, hit 36% and 24%, both higher than the figures in previous years.
