PSA throughput hits record 105m TEUs in 2025

The volume rises 8.7% as revenue climbs.

PSA International said container throughput reached a record 105m TEUs in 2025, up 5% YoY.

Revenue rose 7.0% to $8.26b, and operating profit increased 19.0% to $1.42b, with PSA attributing the gains mainly to higher throughput from port operations.

Singapore throughput rose 8.7% to 44.5m twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), whilst terminals outside Singapore rose 2.0% to 60.4m TEUs.

Profit before tax increased 9.0% to $1.51b, but net profit after tax slipped 0.6% to $1.17b due to higher tax expense and a non-cash impairment charge on intangible assets linked to a weaker economic and industry outlook.

PSA said its balance sheet remained strong, with a gross debt equity ratio of 0.53 times at the end of 2025, and chairman Peter Voser said the group “achieved a solid throughput record of 105 million TEUs, representing a 5% year-on-year increase”.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
