Yangzijiang orders 16 vessels to lift total pipeline to 50
Additions lift the pipeline to 2 delivered, 34 firm under construction, and 14 optional vessels, it said.
Yangzijiang Maritime said it placed newbuilding orders for up to 16 vessels, comprising six firm orders and options for a further 10, as it moves to expand its maritime investment portfolio.
The company said the orders, placed with three Chinese shipyards, cover bulk carriers, mid-range product tankers, and LR2 tankers, with delivery windows ranging from 2027 to 2029.
If all options are exercised, Yangzijiang Maritime said its newbuilding portfolio could increase to as many as 50 vessels.
Under the orders, the firm has committed to two bulk carriers of about 40,000 deadweight tonnes with two options, two mid-range product tankers of about 49,800 deadweight tonnes with six options, and two LR2 tankers of about 114,000 deadweight tonnes with two options.
Deliveries are scheduled between April 2027 and September 2029, depending on vessel type.
Including these additions, Yangzijiang Maritime said its newbuilding pipeline now comprises up to 50 vessels, including two already delivered, 34 firm vessels under construction, and 14 optional vessels.
The group said the investment forms part of plans advanced since its initial public offering in November 2025, as it positions itself as a maritime-focused investment and solutions platform anchored in Singapore.
