Yangzijiang Shipbuilding bags 22 vessel orders worth $1.3b in Q1

The group’s outstanding order book stands at $29.3b (US$22.78b) for 256 vessels.

Yangzijiang Shipbuilding (Holdings) Ltd. has secured shipbuilding contracts for 22 vessels in the first quarter of 2026, with a total value of approximately $1.3b (US$980m).

The orders include 17 containerships—comprising six 1,100 TEU vessels, four 1,900 TEU vessels, and seven 5,900 TEU vessels—alongside four 50,000 deadweight tonnage (DWT) oil tankers and one 83,000 DWT bulk carrier.

The contracts are scheduled for deliveries between 2028 and 2029, according to a bourse filing dated 31 March.

Following the new orders and deliveries in the quarter, the group’s outstanding order book stood at approximately $29.3b (US$22.78b) for 256 vessels.

The company said the contracts are not expected to have a material impact on its net tangible assets per share or earnings per share for the financial year ending 31 December 2026.
