A-REIT to join FTSE STI’s 30 constituents

Investability weighting hits 82%.

In a release, Ascendas Funds Management Limited announced Wednesday that the Ascendas Real Estate Investment Trust will become one of the 30 FTSE Straits Times Index constituents effective from start of trading on June 4, 2014.

A-REIT will be added to the index with a shares in issue total of $2.39B.

The FTSE STI is a capitalization-weighted stock market index that is regarded as the benchmark index for the Singapore stock market.

It tracks the performance of the top 30 companies listed on the Singapore Exchange and is jointly calculated by Singapore Press Holdings, Singapore Exchange and the FTSE Group.
