GMG Global appoints Alain Tien Sing Young as Vice President, Africa Region

The company put weight on his extensive executive experience in the continent.

The Board of GMG Global Ltd. has announced the appointment of Alain Tien Sing Young as Vice President in Africa Region effective Jan 2. The Board has recommended his promotion in view of his experience in the African markets. 

Mr Tian, 59, was assigned to oversee and safeguard all interests of the Group in Africa.

In the past he worked as Chief Financial Officer, Managing Director and Country Chairman of Chevron Inc., overseeing petroleum products distribution in Cote D'ivoire, Cameroon and Uganda, according to a GMG Global report.

He was also Director General and Chief Executive Officer for Hevecam S.A. a subsidiary of GMG Global Ltd. and Director of Tropical Ribber Cote D'ivoire and Green Ventures Cameroon S.A.
