CA Technologies appoints Victor Cheng as vice president for South Asia

Victor reports directly to Lionel Lim, president of CA Technologies Asia Pacific.

CA Technologies announced that Victor Cheng, a veteran of about 30 years in the IT industry, has been named to lead its operations in South Asia, which includes ASEAN, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal.

In this role, Victor is responsible for accelerating business growth, driving sales, building the partner  ecosystem, and managing overall operations in South Asia. Victor reports directly to Lionel Lim, president of Asia Pacific, CA Technologies.

“Victor has an excellent track record of building successful sales teams, and developing industries and  channels coverage models,” said Lim. “ South Asia is a key growth market and we are delighted to have Victor lead the team to drive value for our customers and further position CA Technologies as a trusted advisor in IT management solutions.”

Victor joins CA Technologies from Hewlett-Packard, where he headed the server and appliance business across Asia Pacific and Japan. Over two tours of duty, Victor spent almost nine years at HP. His extensive experience, which covers solutions and value selling, includes 18 years at Sun Microsystems where he held regional, channels and line-of-business leadership roles.

The focus, strategies and solutions of the company position us strongly to win in this region,” said Cheng. “I am excited to join CA Technologies and lead the team to bring value and innovation to our customers and partners.”
