Distribution Central appoints Ned Speed to lead ASEAN sales team

Ned Speed will deal with Singapore as the initial focus market.

In a release, Distribution Central® Pty Limited has announced the appointment of Ned Speed to lead its sales team in ASEAN, with Singapore being the initial focus market.

Ned has extensive channel, account and sales management experience, having worked at OSS Worldwide, Tech Pacific, LAN Systems, IBM and iPass. Ned was credited with winning the largest iPass account in Australia with Telstra and consistently exceeded his sales targets for three consecutive years with iPass.
"Ned's strong track record in sales and deep industry experience positions him well to lead our ASEAN sales team as we continue to go to market with our award winning channel business model, which is designed to deliver real revenue benefits to our vendor and reseller base," said Nick Verykios, Managing Director of Distribution Central.

"I had the opportunity to work with Ned at LAN Systems and he was truly a game changer with tier one customers, resulting in winning the salesperson of the year award three times at LAN Systems. I'm excited to have Ned on board and to have him lead the Distribution Central sales team in Singapore," said Verykios.

Distribution Central is a privately-owned, Australian-based company that provides specialist distribution and channel services in security, networking, data storage, unified communications, asset management, and vendor certification and training. It has grown from AUD 22 million in FY2007 to AUD 178 million in FY2011 in revenue. The company currently employs 115 staff across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore and was most recently named the 2011 BRW ANZ Successful Private Business of the Year (turnover greater than AUD 100 million).

Distribution Central opened its ASEAN flagship office in Singapore in January 2011 and currently represents NetApp, Access Data, CommVault, Riverbed and WatchGuard. Distribution Central will also be making announcements for new vendor partnerships in the coming months.
