Singtel invests $7.9m in security services

The investment is for a 2-year contract with Secura Group.

As it seeks provision of additional security at certain premises, Singtel recently awarded Secura Group Ltd. a $7.9 million security services contract.

The 2-year contract was given through Secura's wholly-owned subsidiary, Soverus Pte. Ltd. It comprises of $7.2 million provision of unarmed security guarding services and a provisional amount of $0.7 million for the provision of additional security services.

Secura CEO Paul Lim said in a statement that this has been one of the largest contracts the group has won to date.

"With Singtel being one of the largest and most prominent corporate brands in Singapore, we believe this will open up more opportunities with other organisations for our services,” he stated.

The Singtel contract raises Secura's orderbook to $27.9 million. Over $23 million is expected to be fulfilled by the end of 2017.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
