Manhattan Associates Software lauded at SBR Technology Excellence Awards 2025

Its solution was selected and successfully integrated with the robotics software required for the customers’ operation.

Software development company Manhattan Associates Software brought home the Robotics - Logistics category win in the prestigious SBR Technology Excellence Awards 2025 for its cloud-native technology, Manhattan Active® Warehouse Management (MAWM), that has supported client-engineered solutions to be continuously adaptive, current, and seamlessly integrated.

MAWM utilises machine learning to optimise fulfilment across advanced automation, robotics, and human associates. It includes Warehouse Execution within the Warehouse Management solution, which integrates advanced material handling equipment such as sortation equipment, put wall, and automated storage & retrieval

All integration with the robotics system was real-time, from MAWM sending messages when an item is updated or created to when a picking task is generated. When the robotics system has finished picking, a real-time response is sent to MAWM to update the result.

The solution has been implemented in two phases: (1) deployment of a manual process to keep the operations running; and (2) customer and Manhattan testing the integration with the robotics solution, leading to the final deployment that replaces humans with machines in the picking and put-away processes.

The complete end-to-end implementation across both phases took approximately 10 months, meeting customers’ expectations plus success criteria. From a return on investment perspective, customers have realised high productivity gains by moving from traditional manual picking and put-away operations with the introduction of system-directed autonomous mobile robots.

Now, MAWM can be deployed to various industry verticals, including grocery, food and beverage, manufacturing, medical and pharmaceutical, retail, third-party logistics, trucking, wholesale, and consumer goods.
