The high court of Singapore has put locally-based firm Swiber Holdings under judicial management while it reorganizes debt. According to the court order, the judicial managers should file updates to creditors every six weeks, unless they call meetings within 60 days. Know more about the story here.

Singapore's retail sales continued to post contraction despite tourist arrivals of 7.2% in June and 6.7% in July. Retail sales, excluding motor vehicles, dipped 3.2% in June and 2.3% in July.
