Singapore Restaurant Week to kick off bookings 22 February

Almost 105 restuarants will be participating.

According to a release, Singapore Restaurant Week is back from 18 to 24 March 2013 with a bonanza of close to 105 premium participating restaurants.

Organised by DiningCity.sg and presented by American Express, this bi-annual affair has attracted a strong following among Singapore’s gourmands since its debut here in 2010.

Bookings will open to the public on 22 February 2013 at www.restaurantweek.sg. American Express Cardmembers^ enjoy exclusive booking privileges from 15 February 2013.

For this sixth edition of Singapore Restaurant Week, the organisers will unveil a new and exciting element – ‘The Grand Tour of Taste’. Each restaurant will craft a unique ‘grand tasting platter’ for one of the courses within its three-course set menu offering, where diners will be able to relish tasting portions of signature dishes that the establishment is renowned for.

Miss Desi Wentink, Managing Director of DiningCity Singapore, proudly shares: “We want to serve only the best for our Restaurant Week patrons, which is why we have worked closely with restaurants to bring forth ‘The Grand Tour of Taste’ for this latest edition. Restaurants will showcase their trademark items through these tantalising grand tasting platters, so that every single guest will have the opportunity to fully enjoy each restaurant’s culinary marvels. At the recent Singapore Restaurant Week October 2012, we have garnered an astounding number of 37,000 reservations, and we are all fired up to surpass this feat with even more seats for dining enthusiasts.”

The ever-expanding list of participating restaurants now stands at close to 105, with notable new additions such as the widely acclaimed modern French restaurant Gunther's, contemporary Spanish concept Fandango Tapas & Wine Bar, new local eatery Violet Oon’s Kitchen, Parsley & Thyme, and Etna at Duxton.

They will join hot favourites like Au Jardin, Bistro Du Vin, Absinthe, Amuse, Buyan Russian Haute Cuisine & Caviar Bar, Garibaldi, Equinox, Stellar at 1-Altitude, Salt Grill & Sky Bar, Forest, The Moluccas Room, Tanjong Beach Club, Zafferano, and The Song of India.

Mr Jaswant Singh, Director of MICE Event Services at Resort World Sentosa (Forest) says: “The partnership with Diningcity.com has been great for Forest. It was a resounding success and it allowed more people to get to know us as well as have a taste of the great food and service that we have. The participation also generated great awareness for the brand and our food.”

During Singapore Restaurant Week, all participating restaurants will offer exclusive three-course menus for lunch and for dinner priced at S$25*+++ and S$35*+++ respectively.

Please note that DiningCity Star-Awarded restaurants charge a supplement of S$15 for lunch and S$20 for dinner.

All bookings can be made online from 22 February 2013 at www.restaurantweek.sg, a dedicated website with unique technology for online and real-time reservations.

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
