BaseHall 02 earns triple platinum sustainability certifications

It met strict requirements in environmental performance and wellness.

Hongkong Land announced that BaseHall 02, its food and beverage (F&B) destination in Jardine House, has become the first venue of its kind in Hong Kong to receive platinum-level certifications under BEAM Plus, LEED, and WELL standards.

The 16,200-square-foot venue, which opened in December 2022 and houses 16 outlets with more than 300 seats, earned what the company described as a “Triple Platinum” distinction by meeting strict requirements in environmental performance and wellness.

According to Hongkong Land, the recognition is particularly notable given the operational challenges faced by F&B spaces, including high traffic volumes and fluctuating occupancy.

Key measures adopted at BaseHall 02 include smart air filtration and monitoring systems, an energy optimisation platform to manage the demands of commercial kitchens, ultra-low-flow water fixtures, and waste management solutions such as grease recycling and clearly marked separation stations.

The venue also uses exclusively reusable tableware and cutlery, eliminating takeaway packaging waste.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
