Singapore boosts SME tech support with new AI partnerships
The initiatives are part of the Digital Enterprise Blueprint.
Singapore is stepping up efforts to support local enterprises in adopting frontier technologies, with a suite of new partnerships aimed at accelerating the use of artificial intelligence (AI), cloud solutions, and cyber resilience measures across the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector.
The initiatives form part of the Digital Enterprise Blueprint, Mr. Tan Kiat How announced at ATxEnterprise by Senior Minister of State for Digital Development and Information.
The blueprint focuses on helping businesses scale digital transformation, with over 10,000 enterprises already supported since its launch in 2024.
As part of the latest developments, the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) will work with Alibaba Cloud, Prudential Singapore, and ST Engineering to equip more SMEs with the tools and expertise needed to integrate next-generation digital solutions.
Through the Alibaba Cloud Digital Accelerator Programme, up to 3,000 SMEs and digital solution providers will receive training, cloud credits, and access to advanced AI tools.
ST Engineering will offer a one-time complimentary cyber threat scan to 2,000 SMEs and run education events to raise awareness on cybersecurity best practices.
In addition, Prudential Singapore is contributing to GenAI literacy efforts among SMEs through its GenAI Xponential Programme.
In partnership with Republic Polytechnic, the initiative will produce a series of explainer videos and conduct workshops to familiarise businesses with IMDA’s pre-approved GenAI tools.
Building on this foundation, the programme will scale to support over 1,000 DMEs and 500 GenAI projects in the coming year.
The expanded collaboration will include additional discovery workshops, access to technical expertise, and development tools that reduce costs and deployment time.
