BE Fellows SEA selects first cohort of climate tech innovators
They will focus on two projects.
The Breakthrough Energy Fellows – Southeast Asia (BE Fellows – SEA) has formed a team of climate tech innovators who will focus on solutions for decarbonising hard-to-abate industries.
The first cohort of climate tech innovators will focus on two projects: producing bio-methanol from biogas to cut maritime carbon emissions and recycling metals from batteries for new battery production.
Kang Hui Lim and Kok Giap Haw from the CRecTech team are developing the bio-methanol project, whereas Saikiran Reddy and Wang Xun from Lincore are working on the other project.
BE Fellows – SEA will provide funding, technical mentorship, and business resources to help these projects advance from lab to market.
Meanwhile, BE Fellows – SEA is also collaborating with NUS Enterprise to offer BLOCK71 facilities in Indonesia and Vietnam, providing co-working spaces, mentorship, and fundraising opportunities.
