
Chart of the Day: Residential properties take lion's share of investments in Q422
Residential investment sales volume clocked in at $1.26b.
Residential properties constituted the highest proportion of investment sales (62%) for the fourth quarter of 2022, Savills data showed.
Whilst the sector recorded the highest investment sales volume, its Q4 record was still lower than the preceding quarter.
According to Savills, the Q4 residential investment sales volume of $1.26b is a 66.1% dip from Q322.
"[It is] a turnaround from two consecutive quarters of increases over Q2/2022 and Q3/2022," Savills commented.
Savills also noted that the Q422 sales volume was the lowest since Q320 when investment sales amounted to $982.1m.
Meanwhile, commercial and industrial properties accounted for 27% and 11% of the investment sales volume, respectively.
