Chart of the Day: Residential properties take lion's share of investments in Q422

Residential investment sales volume clocked in at $1.26b.

Residential properties constituted the highest proportion of investment sales (62%) for the fourth quarter of 2022, Savills data showed.

Whilst the sector recorded the highest investment sales volume, its Q4 record was still lower than the preceding quarter.

According to Savills, the Q4 residential investment sales volume of $1.26b is a 66.1% dip from Q322.

"[It is] a turnaround from two consecutive quarters of increases over Q2/2022 and Q3/2022," Savills commented.

Savills also noted that the Q422 sales volume was the lowest since Q320 when investment sales amounted to $982.1m.

Meanwhile, commercial and industrial properties accounted for 27% and 11% of the investment sales volume, respectively.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
