MTI starts industrial land sales programme for 2026

Most IGLS sites carry 33-year tenure.

The Ministry of Trade and Industry has launched the Industrial Government Land Sales (IGLS) programme for the first half of 2026, aiming to ensure a steady supply of industrial space.

A total of eight sites—six confirmed and two reserved—have been listed, totaling approximately 11.1 hectares, with JTC Corporation as the sales agent.

The confirmed sites include Jalan Buroh, Kaki Bukit, 6 Tuas Avenue 14, Jalan Besut, Chin Bee Road, and 5 Tuas Avenue 13, which has a total of 8.58 ha.

Most have a 33-year tenure, except 6 Tuas Avenue 14, with only a 23-year tenure.

The reserved sites are Tuas Road and Penjuru Lane, covering 2.52 ha, both with a 33-year tenure.

These will be offered for tender only if there are sufficient market interest or acceptable offers, the press release stated.

The Tuas Road site is currently carried over from the second half of 2025 Reserve List, and interested parties can apply to JTC Corporation to trigger these sites for tender.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
