Grab rolls out Partner Apps in Singapore to offer third-party services

Initial partners include Firsty, HelloRide, Jolibox, redBus, and Drive lah.

Grab has rolled out Partner Apps in Singapore, allowing users to access third-party services directly within the Grab app.

The move expands Grab’s ecosystem beyond its core offerings in deliveries, mobility, and financial services.

Partner Apps integrate products, services, and content from external brands, giving users a wider range of options and enabling businesses to reach Grab’s 46 million monthly transacting users.

Grab is debuting five Partner App services in Singapore and Malaysia, with plans to roll out the feature across other markets in the coming months.

The first five partners include Firsty, a global telecommunications provider offering eSIMs that provide instant mobile data access in over 180 countries.

New users who purchase a Firsty eSIM through Grab will receive 100% cashback until the end of the year.

HelloRide, a bicycle-sharing service, offers on-demand bike rentals starting from $1, with special discounts for Grab users available until year-end.

Additionally, Jolibox, an entertainment platform, allows users to play games and watch short dramas directly within the Grab app, rewarding them with bonus coins and free weekly content through the end of the year.

redBus enables users to book intercity bus and ferry rides across Singapore and Malaysia, offering a 20% discount on bookings made through Grab until year-end.

Moreover, Drive lah, a peer-to-peer car-sharing platform in Singapore, lets users instantly book and unlock nearby cars via their phones, with new users receiving 33% off (up to SGD $88) on their first booking through Grab until the end of the year.

Partner Apps allow users to complete all transactions — from booking to payment — within the Grab app. For example, a traveler can buy a Firsty eSIM, book a redBus ticket, reserve a restaurant, and stream Jolibox content, all in one place.

Meanwhile, partner brands benefit from Grab’s built-in advertising and payment systems, reaching users with relevant offers. For instance, riders may see HelloRide bike rental promotions during a Grab trip or receive eSIM suggestions before airport rides.

Grab said more Partner Apps from local and international brands will be added in the coming months.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
