Fullerton, SGX launch equities competition for students
Students can pitch stocks in city-state-listed securities in the Value-Up Singapore Equities Challenge.
Fullerton Fund Management (Fullerton) and the SGX Group have launched the Value-Up Singapore Equities Challenge, in which local student teams are tasked to construct and manage portfolios of Singapore-listed securities.
The challenge will run over a six-week online trading period from 26 January to 6 March 2026 on InvestSG, a Singapore market-focused community platform, Fullerton said. It is open to students aged 18 and above,
The top six teams will advance to an in-person stock pitch challenge to be held at SGX Centre on 2 April 2026, where they will present their investment theses to a panel of judges from SGX Group, Fullerton, Temasek, and IMAS.
Cash prizes of $10,000, $5,000, and $3,000 will be awarded to the top three teams.
Ten participants from the challenge will also undergo an internship selection from Fullerton, in which the firm will identify participants with strong potential for five internship roles to be offered.
This initiative is also launched amidst the Equity Market Development Programme, a measure that aims to strengthen the local asset management, research ecosystems, and increase investor interest in Singapore’s equities market, Fullerton said.
