STI outpaces FTSE Developed Index with 5.5% total return

DBS, OCBC, and UOB had the most impact on STI's performance.

The Straits Times Index (STI) generated a 5.5% total return in 2022 year-to-date, the Singapore Exchange announced.

This has outpaced the FTSE Developed Index, which generated an 11.0% decline in total return.

The top STI constituents that generated double-digit total returns for the first 21 weeks of 2021 are the following:

  • Sembcorp Industries
  • Jardine Cycle & Carriage
  • Yangzijiang Shipbuilding
  • Keppel Corporation
  • City Developments
  • CapitaLand Invest
  • Singtel
  • SATS
  • ST Engineering
  • UOB
  • SIA

The bank trio of UOB, OCBC, and DBS, had the most impact on STI's performance.
