SPH to pre-load media products onto Samsung gadgets

They also recently inked a deal to explore virtual technology.

Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) announced a partnership with Samsung to introduce innovative technologies. Under their memorandum of understanding (MOU), customers of both companies can now expect SPH’s digital media products to appear in Samsung gadgets, such as mobile phones, tablets and Smart TVs.

Trial subscriptions for SPH’s media products will also be granted to Samsung users. Additionally, SPH plans to adopt Samsung Pay on its B2B and B2C platforms.

The two companies will also explore virtual technology to cater the millennial generation.

Further, the two companies also plan to introduce new marketing campaigns. SPH will help Samsung with its integrated multi-platform media solutions and data analytics capabilities for better customer engagement. They also plan to cross-sell each other’s products, and collaborate on corporate social responsibility projects.

The MOU, lasting for two years, is not limited to media businesses as it can also extend to SPH’s properties and events businesses, SPH said.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
