COE quota cut to 18,824 for Feb-Apr

Bidding opens 2 February with revised schedule in March–April.

Singapore’s Certificate of Entitlement (COE) quota for the February to April 2026 bidding period is set at 18,824, down 1% from the November 2025 to January 2026 quarter, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said in a press release.

The quota comprises 25% of replacement COEs from vehicles deregistered between January 2025 and December 2025, alongside provision for 0.25% annual growth for Category C, based on the commercial vehicle population as of 31 December 2025, the LTA said.

Additional adjustments account for changes in the taxi population, expired Temporary COEs, the Early Turnover Scheme for commercial vehicles, redistribution from guaranteed deregistration for Categories A, B and D, and the injection of additional COEs, the LTA said.

Bidding under the new quota will begin on 2 February 2026, with exercises held on the first and third Monday of each month.

The authority said there will be a three-week interval between the second bidding exercise in March 2026 and the first bidding exercise in April 2026.

The LTA said the next COE quota announcement, covering the May 2026 to July 2026 bidding period, will be released in April 2026.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
