Public sector and education lead PMET vacancies in tight labor market

Public Admin and Education leads Singapore PMET hiring, topping ICT by nearly 20%.

Public Administration and Education led demand for Professional, Managerial, Executive and Technical (PMET) roles in December 2025 with 6,200 vacancies, according to the Ministry of Manpower’s Labour Market Report for the fourth quarter of 2025.

Other sectors with strong PMET demand include Information and Communications at 5,300, Professional Services at 5,200, and Financial Services at 4,100.

The mid-range of vacancies is shared by Construction at 3,700 and Health and Social Services at 3,700.

Lower PMET vacancies were recorded in Wholesale Trade at 1,700, Administrative and Support Services at 1,100, Manufacturing of Electronic, Computer and Optical Products at 1,100 whilst Transportation and Storage was at 1,000 and Manufacturing of Fabricated Metal Products, Machinery and Equipment at 1,000.
