Fraser and Neaves bailed out by Kirin's 15% stake

Kirin's increased stake in Fraser and Neaves provides support to the share price, and possible provide catalyst for restructuring over the medium to long term.

According to DBS, Fraser and Neaves' share price retreated by c.7% since the announcement of the recent porperty measures on January 13. DBS believes the measures could largely have been priced in.

Kirin has increased its stake in Fraser and Neaves from 14.68% to 15%. This could provide a signal as well as psychological support to share price, as well as provide a catalyst for a potential restructuring of the business over the medium to long term.
